Born in the Baix Empordà (Girona), Xevi Fernández arouses his interest in art at an early age through drawing and crafts.
The fact that he used to spend whole evenings in a family haberdashery business surrounded by coils, threads, buttons and village women weaving, has a final push for further dedication to the world of fashion.
He moved to Barcelona to pursue his studies at the Catalan Institute of Fashion. During his training, he won several competitions such as the Young Talent Prize Bread and Butter Berlin 2009, which benefited him from a stand at Bread & Butter Barcelona, where he showed his first fashion collection “Nuclear”. This collection was awarded that same year for Best Male Collection by Creamoda (Bilbao).
During his internship with designer Josep Font, he intensified his interest in the more handmade aspect of haute couture.
On February 2016 he introduces his first collection AW1617 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, where he also shows SS17 collection some months later.
